Steve-O-GerstOK, say what you will, I know most of you have seen it though.

After much examination, I've discovered a Castle near the beginning of the film. It's in the background of the scene with Sir Ector's last joust before he dies.

The filming locations for A Knight's Tale are all in the Czech republic, so it might be a czech castle, perhaps near the studio in Prague...

But on the other hand, the director's commentary says most of the backgrounds were CGI, and the castle has a strange crispness to it that makes me think it is CGI, so it could be anywhere.

But does anyone know where?

Aiken DrumIt was a computer generated background.
Steve-O-GerstWas the computer generated image based on any real castle?
abeeha666I liked the film too. I love David Thewlis but that was the worst performance he's probably ever given. His girlfriend was good though (Anna Friel)
